Please keep an eye out for a recording and session resources over the next few days.\* Federal workforce programs share common goals: helping individuals overcome barriers, finding meaningful employment, and achieving greater economic stability. But understanding how these programs connect, and how they work together, is not always that easy. On Tuesday, September 8, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM ET, join us for Pathways to Employment. Experts will explore the relationships between programs such as the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).  The conversation will not only examine the unique role that each program plays, but it will also show where their services and participants overlap, highlighting how stronger coordination creates more connected pathways to employment. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of the intricacies of these programs and how workforce agencies, community partners, and employers can better align their efforts to support shared goals. She oversees workforce policy, program strategy, compliance, and modernization efforts that strengthen service delivery and improve how businesses connect with talent across South Dakota. Taunya supports cross-agency collaboration, guides complex workforce initiatives, and ensures consistent, high-quality implementation of employer and job seeker services statewide.
