How North Carolina Serves Those Who Served

*This webinar is now over. But, please keep an eye out for the resources landing page via email.*

Every November, Veterans Day is observed nationwide, honoring all U.S. military veterans for their service, patriotism and sacrifice. For workforce boards, departments of labor, and job agencies, this observance presents the perfect time to conduct veteran program reviews to ensure the right workforce services and job aids are in place for those transitioning back to the civilian workforce.

North Carolina Department of Commerce’s Chris Silvers and Amy Pritchett have led this effort for their state, often on the front lines of activism for NCWorks Veterans, the state’s veteran-friendly portal into the NCWorks website. This website went live in 2018, and was inspired by the Employ Florida Veterans portal. Since then, North Carolina’s version has inspired several other states, including South Carolina and Iowa, to launch their own portal sites.

So, don’t wait! Register now and join us on Tuesday, November 4, from 1-2 PM ET, to learn about the NCWorks Veterans Portal and providing essential services for veterans. You'll learn how it interfaces with the state’s labor exchange and you'll also find out how the site prominently features veteran-friendly jobs through the HiRE Vets Medallion program.
